The inaugural season of the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park will begin on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Owned by the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center, Inc., the new 12,000-seat state-of-the-art facility located in Alpharetta, GA (north of Atlanta), will be operated by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Set on 45 acres of wooded land, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park will seat 7,000 under a roof, and another 5,000 on a lawn area.
